Kat’s Empowerment Tips: Strategic Retreat Days (Having low energy days without getting derailed)

We all have “low energy” days when being upbeat, positive and super productive is challenging. Even beyond challenging.

Some days, it’s just not happening.

So what can we do?

In this results-driven world, the “obvious” choice seems to be: Try Harder. Keep pushing. Don’t give up.

That can help at times when you just need a small boost to your energy and efforts.

But when your energy is low, when it’s hard to get pumped up and excited about anything, maybe it’s time for a strategic retreat.

Take a step back, take a deep breath, realize that sometimes it’s better to simply cope with what’s immediately in front of you and save the big projects for another day.

In other words, give yourself a break! 🙂

As the old song goes, “pick yourself up, dust yourself off, start all over again”. When you can. Without pressuring yourself to do everything now.
